Museum for Film and Television
The Deutsche Kinemathek is a Museum for Film and Television and home to one of the most impressive film archives in Germany. The Filmhaus at Potsdamer Platz displays a permanent exhibition on German film and television history as well as special rotating exhibits drawn from the extensive archives.
Looking back on over 100 years of film and 50 years of television history, the Deutsche Kinemathek provides not only a lasting historical record but also exciting new insights into the imaginary worlds of film and television. The building complex also houses the Institute for Film and Video Art (arsenal e.V.), the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (dffb) and its own library with over 80,000 media holdings.
